Discover nearby Mallorca villages

Taking Son Alegre as a starting point, you can go to some really charming and authentic inland Mallorcan towns and villages. Without going any further, the town of Santa Margalida is a place where time seems to have stood still. It is on a hill and, from the viewpoint of its medieval church, you can see a spectacular view of the whole plain. In summer you can sit in a bar in the square and try a typical almond ice-cream. Other small towns are very nearby, including Ariany, Maria de la Salut, Petra, Muro (with an interesting old quarter) and Sineu, where a big market is held every Wednesday.
